Cinderella

September 9th-17th, 2016

The King has decided his son must marry to fund his "royal" lifestyle, and creates a TV reality show in which the Prince has one week to pick a bride from eligible contestants, which include Cinderella's step-sisters. A Fairy Godfather appears to help Cinderella get to the palace and works behind the scenes to make sure that the Prince sees Cinderella for who she really is, while also helping him to figure out what it means to really love.

From the Director

Collaboration (col·lab·o·ra·tion) kəˌlabəˈrāSH(ə)n/  *noun

1. the action of working with someone to produce or create something.

"Collaboration" defines the elite team.  Although I am the one who comes up with the "crazy" ideas, there is an entire team in the wings who not only trust me (and my crazy ideas), but who are on board with our goals and are willing to put the hard work in to create something that is not only unique, but very good.  I hand out assignments, everyone gets to work and we all wait anxiously and excitedly to put all the moving parts together.  The first run through is always a treat as the actors get to see what the dancers are doing, the dancers get to see what the actors and vocalists have been doing, and the production crew gets to see the story come alive.  Run throughs are about evolution of the story and characters.  Dancing is refined, actors are "growing" their characters, and the production team is preparing for production week.  Then we hit production week at the theatre, and a whole other layer of creativity and artistry is added with sound, lighting, and costuming.  Lastly, show weekends arrive and our team adds the finishing touches for receptions and lobby.   We eagerly await the call from the stage manager that the "curtain is up" and we are ready to go.  Sharing our story with you is the reward for all of our hard work.  It is truly a labor of love for the elite team, and seeing eager faces ready to share in our story is the biggest treat of all.

Thank you for allowing us to share our story with you.  We hope you will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed creating it!
